Jake Hanrahan

Jake Hanrahan (b. 1990) is a British independent journalist and documentary filmmaker, and the founder of Popular Front, specializing in reporting from conflict zones and covering extremist and fringe movements; he began as a freelancer, contributing to VICE News, The Guardian, and Rolling Stone, and has reported from Syria, Iraq, Ukraine, and Turkey (where he was detained in 2015). In 2018, he launched his own ad-free media platform; in his public views, he advocates for independent journalism, criticizes corporate media for overlooking complex issues, and emphasizes that he does not see himself as an activist but rather as an observer documenting the raw realities of conflict.
