Craig Murray (1958, West Calder, Scotland, United Kingdom) is a former British diplomat, whistleblower, and blogger. He served as the British Ambassador to Uzbekistan from 2002 to 2004. He resigned after publicly criticizing the UK government's use of intelligence obtained through torture. He is known for his activism, human rights campaigning, and harsh criticism of British foreign policy. He has been arrested several times for protesting and for breaking court orders. He remains active as a political blogger and commentator.
